It’s been a bit of a slow rise for gabriel black over the past 2 years but it seems people are finally starting to pay attention to him. With the recent release of his song “dead yet” featuring another up and coming artist phem, black has garnered a quarter of a million Spotify monthly listeners as well as picked up an agent at Paradigm.

A genre blending artist, gabriel black leans towards a mix of darker pop-punk, emo, and hip-hop. A Pennsylvania native who relocated to LA within the past two and a half years, black is also a Tim Burton-inspired animator who chose to show his identity through self drawn animations until a relatively recent face reveal in his “dead yet” music video. Overall, black describes his music as dark, personal self-expression and something that has grounded him and given him a sense of purpose; that purpose being a mutual relationship between him and his fans supporting each other through their own dark thoughts. Black published a phone number for his fans to contact him directly and said that he was amazed by the comments on his “pine trees” video from those who said his music helped them through darkness.
